Twilight is a display case, that represents the changing colours of sky, through every minute of the evening towards night. When disks made of polarizer layers are rotated, colours of the them changes from dull orange through smoke grey into a deep blue.

Besides, The colour of the overlapping parts of two disks changes too and also the colour of the objects inside the case are influenced by the colour of the disks, just like what happens to objects under a changing evening sky.
